AI in Museum Communication Practice
International study

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly becoming part of everyday museum communication work.

This international research project explores how AI is experienced in practice across museum communication, social media, and digital engagement.

We are interested in:

  • how AI is used or intentionally not used

  • how these changes are experienced in everyday work

  • and how AI shapes communication, trust, and institutional voice.

The study includes two stages:

  1. Online survey (5-10 minutes): The survey explores current practices, perceptions, and experiences of AI in museum communication and digital engagement.

    Take the survey:https://bit.ly/3OgWzHp

  2. Follow-up interview study: At the end of the survey, participants may indicate their interest in taking part in an optional follow-up interview.

These interviews explore experiences in greater depth and help us understand how AI is negotiated within specific professional and institutional contexts.
