AI in Museum Social Media Practice: Uses, Perceptions, and Future Directions
This website hosts an ongoing research project examining how museum professionals experience the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in social media communication. The study explores how AI is understood, felt, and enacted in everyday practice, and how these experiences relate to authenticity, trust, and institutional voice in public-facing museum communication.
The study is currently under ethical review. Once ethical approval is granted, we will formally launch the research and invite museum social media and digital communication professionals to take part through an international online survey, with the option of a follow-up interview.
We will use this website to share updates about the study, including its launch, progress, and research outputs. If you would like to register your interest in participating or receiving updates, you may do so through the sign-up option provided.
